South Arkansas police still looking for man accused of killing woman and 4-year-old son

CAMDEN, Ark. (KNOE) –Ā Authorities in south Arkansas say they are still looking for a man wanted in connection with the murders of a mother and her child.

The Camden Police Department has been looking for Jory J. Worthen for two weeks.

Police say he is suspected of killing Alyssa Cannon and her 4-year-old son, Braydon Ponder. Police found their bodies inside her home on Ronald Drive on the afternoon of June 25, 2019, after she was reported missing by family members. Family members told police they had been unable to make contact with Cannon since the previous Saturday. Their bodies were found at her home on Ronald Drive in Camden.

Worthen is listed as 6’2″ tall and 157 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Police say Worthen could be driving Alyssa’s 2007 white Honda Accord with Arkansas license plate 921YBE.

He was believed to be in Wichita, Kansas, at some point, but he was never located.

Police say Worthen should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Worthen, you are advised to call 911.
