Gang members arrested for 2013 double homicide

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA – Citrus Heights police have arrested six gang members in connection with a double homicide and other shootings that occurred last year in Citrus Heights and North Highlands.

Citrus Heights Police announced today the arrest of 21-year-old David Javier Jaimes, 19-year-old Alex Martinez Camacho and 21-year-old Hayley Rogers in connection to the murder of 29-year-old Enrique Tobias-De La Cruz and 41-year-old Gladis Quinteros-Ramos last May.

On May 21, 2013, multiple shots were fired in the 6000 block of Birdcage Street in Citrus Heights just before 11:30 p.m., both Cruz and Ramos were shot and killed, neither is believed to have had ties to any gangs.

Twenty-year-old Nicolas Mancia was also taken into custody for a gang-related shooting that happened on May 1, 2013. The shooting took place near the intersection of Walerga Road and Elk Horn Boulevard in North Highlands.

Also arrested were twenty-two-year-old James Sneed and 20-year-old Hillary Camacho on charges of assault with a firearm during an incident that occurred in June of last year near near Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights.
