HUNTINGTON BEACH – The suspect in a February hit and run that left a motorcyclist seriously injured was arrested Sunday, according to a Huntington Beach police report.

DeAndre Curtis Hill, 47, of Costa Mesa, was taken into custody at a Costa Mesa hotel around 1:50 p.m. and booked into the Huntington Beach city jail March 6. He faces a felony charge of hit and run and driving on a suspended license. Police also discovered an outstanding driving under the influence warrant for Hill from a separate incident.

The hit and run occurred around 2:05 p.m. Feb. 24, at Beach Boulevard and Slater Avenue. The suspect was reportedly driving a black Dodge Magnum station wagon northbound on Beach Boulevard when he struck the motorcyclist, who was also traveling north.

During the investigation that followed, traffic investigators received information from several concerned citizens, leading police to a possible suspect and the March 6 arrest of Hill. Police located the suspect Dodge Magnum at another location in Costa Mesa, the report said.
