SACRAMENTO, CA – The suspect sought for the March 7 stabbing death of 42-year-old Charles L. Jordan has been located and taken into custody on Wednesday.
The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department said today that 38-year-old Dinette Eugene Patterson was taken into custody in San Diego, and is expected to be extradited to Sacramento County where he will face a murder charge for stabbing and killing Jordan.
On March 7 the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department responded to an apartment complex at 5622 Florin Road at approximately 8 p.m.
When deputies arrived they discovered Jordan in one of the apartments with stab wounds. Medical personnel were called and he was declared dead at the scene
A motive for the murder has not yet been determined and Sacramento Sheriff Homicide Detectives are still asking anyone with information related to this crime to call the Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115.
