RANCHO CUCAMONGA – Operation Safe Child’s 9-day sting resulted in the arrests of nine men who attempted to lure a boy for sexual acts.
In the first place, Rancho Cucamonga PD Detectives targeted adult suspects who attempted to lure a minor child to meet in a public place for sex. Also, they employed an undercover law- enforcement account used for various investigations.
Then, the unmonitored social media account saw suspects initiate a conversation on the social media app. Hence, chats ensued with an undercover officer decoy who suspects believed was a 14-year-old boy.
Subsequently, all but one of the suspects (Pedregon), sent nude selfies to the decoy. Furthermore, detectives and suspects chatted back and forth for various lengths of time.
All suspects agreed to meet the decoy in a public place in Rancho Cucamonga where they could engage in sexual acts. Then all the suspects went to the agreed-upon meeting place.
Consequently, over the next 9 days, Operation Safe Child Detectives were met by nine enthusiastic suspects who attempted to meet a minor for sexual acts at various parks and public parking lots:
The following charges are:
Send Harmful Matter to a Minor PC 288.2 (a) ;
