YAKIMA, Wash. – A Union Gap man is under arrest after police say he molested a young girl and exchanged child pornography with his son.

Police say they started investigating the 52-year-old man in May 2018, when Facebook notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

They say they found multiple sexually explicit images of girls who appeared to be as young as 5 years old linked to his account.

After a months-long investigation, police arrested the man on Wednesday, and that’s when they say he admitted to molesting a 7-year-old girl in 2015 at his Union Gap home.

Reports say he faces charges of possession of depiction of minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, dealing in depictions of minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and first degree child molestation.

A judge set the man’s bail at $500,000.
