A California woman fabricated her kidnapping, sexual assault and robbery as part of an elaborate ruse to avoid paying her subcontractors $9,000, police said.
Authorities in Fresno, California, are now seeking the arrest of 32-year-old Maria Gonzalez, who owns a trucking business, after she turned up at a house in the city on Saturday partially bound and gagged and with an injury to her head. Authorities say Gonzalez told them that she had been abducted at gunpoint, robbed of money to pay her employees, and possibly sexually assaulted. (Get the full story at ABC News)
